Ring Styles for 2009 – Part 3

(A very sad day for MJ fans, but he’d be the first to say the show must go on, so here goes Part 3!)

The first two blog postings commented on wraps (literally diamond rings that wrap around a diamond solitaire, creating a completely new and fresh look for your ring), stunning modern settings that I think are perfect for the MSID diamond, and some very chic engagement rings that consist of interlocking diamond circles.

Our engagement ring buying team at Robbins Brothers (Shannon, Samantha & Amy) know that many women want a ring that is totally unique and even offers a little surprise. The buyers brought back a collection of dainty styles with micropave diamonds (my favorite) that will surely please anyone receiving a marriage proposal later this year. The “surprise” in one of the rings, when viewed from the side, is the shape of a flower surrounding the center diamond. So hard to describe, so beautiful in person!

I had the chance to sit with Keith Davis, our General Manager at the Robbins Brothers in Riverside, California, and he was equally excited about the micropave diamond settings. He said that his clientele will love the white gold engagement ring mountings and the wedding sets (the engagement ring with a matching diamond band), with just about any size center diamond.

Check back for Part 4 of the Robbins Brothers Engagement Ring Trends for 2009. In the meantime, check out the gorgeous platinum, palladium and gold diamond engagement rings by Tacori, Scott Kay, Simon G., Jeff Coooper, A. Jaffe and Coast Diamond, just to name a few of the designers we carry.
