June 30, 2009 – Ladies, if you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to sit in a room filled with a few thousand diamond engagement rings, I can tell you from first-hand experience that it is FABULOUS!
Last week our engagement ring buyers had their top picks from the enormous JCK Show in Vegas (THE show for the jewelry industry) flown in for a final “style out” at a secret location in Los Angeles, California. Can you imagine trying to narrow down your favorites from tens of thousands of ring styles? Shannon, Amy and Samantha, you certainly have a tough job searching for the perfect unique engagement ring styles that will come to symbolize a lifetime commitment! My hat is off to you!
If you’ve read any of my other postings or blogs you’ll know I’m a huge fan of the vintage look, and still love my Ritani ring as much as the day my hubby proposed 5 years ago. I naturally gravitated to the romantic styles with lots of micropave – those tiny little diamonds that really make the center diamond “pop” and add sparkle to the ring.
Beautiful “wraps” filled up an entire tray, and as I placed a few of these around a solitaire, I could see how a traditional single diamond could be transformed into a very unique ring that fits a woman’s personality. (A wrap is literally a ring that “wraps” itself around a solitaire diamond ring.)
But oh, wait until you see some of the latest designer styles and what they’re doing with side diamonds. My favorite was a wide setting with princess diamonds mounted at an angle. So hard to describe without a photo! You’ll have to visit one of our Robbins Brothers stores in Southern California or Dallas to see it for yourself!
